Cationic Dye Polyester Fibers (CD)

 

       

 

 

      Cationic dye polyester fibers can be produced with sodium dimethyl sulfoisophthalate (Na-SIPM) or lithium sulfoisophthalic acid (Li-SIPA).

Low strength Na-SIPE CD has better hand feel; High strength Li-SIPE CD has:

(1) Higher intrinsic viscosity          

(2) Lower melt viscosity, higher CP capacity;

(3) Longer spinneret life                

(4) Lower spinning breaks;

(5) DTY speed increase 20%;           

(6) Can spin microdenier fiber (denier 0.8);

(7) Fast dyeing, bright color;             

(8) Can be dyed together with spandex.

In the U.S. market of cationic dye polyester, Na-SIPM is 2.0 mole% of polyester (3.0 wt%).  In China market, Na-SIPM is 1.66 mole% of polyester (2.5 wt%). Glysil can help clients adjust the content of Na-SIPM in polyester to meet market needs.
